I though I would switch it up for a post instead of babbling about home improvements, and all of the things that you can do to raise the value of your home and switch it over to some home repairs that you should consider getting done that will save you money, the one that will be discussed today, will be water.

When it comes to home improvements there are so many things that can be done. There are literally thousands of things that you can do to improve the look and feel of your home, then there is the exterior of the home, which can be improved by painting, adding a trim to the sides and the angles, or by adding shutters to the outside of the windows. Also when it comes to exterior home improvements you cannot forget about the roof.

One of the things about a home that gets me and I spend so much time on are the windows. These to me fall in the top ten to me right there next to gardening when it comes to home improvements. The first thing I want to discuss about windows are the blinds. Now there are many types of blinds, and if you are purchasing blinds for your home in order to improve the look of it, do not go cheap.

If you want an extra hobby to take on, or maybe just want another home improvement idea then you may want to plant a garden. But when you do this, you are going to have to decide on what kind of garden you are going to get, as there are many kinds and they all require different types of maintenance. For instance, if you want a garden that will improve the look of your home, and you do not want to put too much work in the upkeep of it, you may want to get a flower garden.

So we have a two story home, and no we did not get to put the new air conditioning system in yet but that will be installed next week. What we are trying to do right now is make our home as energy efficient as possible. This can be done several ways and I am going to go over some of the things that we have been doing around the house to make it stand out in the energy efficiency area.

Have you ever thought about undergoing some major home improvements, but are not really sure how to get the money to fund the home improvement project? Well one option that you can look into would be to consider getting a home equity loan. Home equity loans are when you take the value, or the equity from your home and turn it into cash, basically getting a lender to back you up by using the equity of your home.

So my husband and I have been living in this home for almost a year now and we have decided that it is time that we upgrade some of our home appliances. The big one that we need to upgrade is the air conditioning system, I believe that the one we have now is around a 10 SEER, which really is not that energy efficient at all. Good thing now is that all of the central air conditioning systems that are made currently have to have a SEER of 13 or higher, I believe that it goes all the way up to 26 I could be wrong though.

Now is time to make the decision of what color to paint the exterior of the house. Me and my hubby have been discussing this for awhile now but in all reality I do not think that it is possible to pick a color that is worse than what is there right now. Right now there is a light shade of green with puke green highlights and I can't stand it.
