Going To Home Depot
Welcome to my blog everyone. This is a place where I can keep a journal of what my husband and I are doing around our new home and can talk about all of our home improvement projects that we are going to be doing in the future as there are a lot of them that need to be done.
Well it is a day off for me from my job but it is not a day off for me around the house. My husband and I just got a new house in Fort Myers a couple of days ago and it still needs a lot of work. Well actually it is not a newly built house the home was built in the mid 80's but to us it is very new and we need to get it looking good, so with that being said the house is in for a number of home improvements. The thing I do not like about it now that stands out is the outside of the home.
It is painted in a puke green and the grass out front is dying. Not only that there is no life around the house such as plants and stuff. So I will be heading down to Home Depot today to buy a couple hundred dollars worth of plants and flowers to add a little life to the outside of the house. These next 6 months are going to be nothing but huge home improvement projects but I am looking forward to then all as we are no longer living the apartment life but finally paying a mortgage, on a home that we are going to fully own 10 years or so down the road. I am very excited about this and cannot wait to spend some money and get to work on the front and side gardens. :)
I think that I will start off this home improvement outside with some daisy's and girly flowers and stuff. I also want to get some nice bricks and stuff to outline the garden which I think will look pretty cool. I will also more than likely pick up a couple of bags of mulch to just to see how it looks. If I can get the garden set up today then tomorrow I can pester my husband to start painting the outside of the house. It is a 2 story house so I know that it will more than likely take him a couple of days to finish the entire painting of the exterior unless he rents a spray gun from Home Depot or Lowes, which may be worth it. Looking very forward to all of these home improvements that we are going to be doing in the next half a year.
