Water Saving Home Repairs
I though I would switch it up for a post instead of babbling about home improvements, and all of the things that you can do to raise the value of your home and switch it over to some home repairs that you should consider getting done that will save you money, the one that will be discussed today, will be water.
If you have a dripping shower faucet, bathroom or kitchen faucet, do no just sit there and look at it and shrug it off. One reason not to shrug it off is that it WASTES WATER! Not only that you are going to be throwing a lot of money down the drain, literally if you do not fix the problem as soon as possible.
Even a slight drip will add up to a gallon a day, or even more, and over the period of a year or two it can cost you hundreds in water bills. Leaky faucets are not all that hard to fix yourself either. There are countless numbers of how to guides that are on the internet that will show you what you have to do to be able to repair a leaky faucet by yourself, if you have any handyman ability at all then you should be able to solve the problem yourself.
Another water waster is a running toilet. In many cases this is where the flapper does not get a good seal on the tank, and water is just steadily going by, running up your water bill. There are only 3 ways to fix this and the most common and easiest way to do this is replace the flapper. If that does not do the trick you may have to replace the fill valve. And the remaining 1 percent of the time when those do not work you will have to replace the tower inside of the toilet tank, which should be left to those with some good handyman experience to tackle the diy home repair job.
